A message from the Jeantrix team:
Hello, this is a message from the fashion artists at Jeantrix. We hope that you all are staying safe and doing well during these trying times.
Today is Earth Day and with so much going on, we felt the need to address our supporters personally. Our Mother Earth needs our help now more than ever. It is extremely important that we all do our parts to ensure a brighter future for the younger generations. Whether it be cleaning up our communities or helping others in need, we can all help change this world for the better if we do our part.
Recently we discovered that textiles and “fast fashion” have become a huge problem in the worlds landfills. More than 15 million tons of used textile waste is generated each year in the United States, and the amount has doubled over the last 20 years. An average American throws away approximately 80 pounds of used clothing per person per year.It is for these reasons that we want to bring awareness to these issues. We have taken a pledge to do our part and become a more sustainable clothing brand in 2020. Our team is working hard to ensure that our future collections are created from sustainable/recycled materials. Our goal within the next 2-3 years is to have more than 50% of our product made from recycled materials, which also means more affordable product for our customers. Not only is our brand focused on creating solutions for the earth, we are also making efforts to personally help those that are in need in our communities by giving back and by creating a payment plan system on our website for our supporters who wish to continue shopping during this time.
We greatly appreciate you all for sticking with us through the years and we care greatly about the health and well being of all of our supporters. Please be safe, we must all be diligent and do our parts to stop the spread of this virus. This too shall pass and although we may not know what the future may hold at the moment, we will continue to be optimistic of a brighter tomorrow! We look forward to the day when we are able to see you all again, Take care.
